Major topics covered include: (1) The role of financial system and regulation in Asia’s economic development; (2) Asian financial crisis and its legacies; (3) The evolution of Asian exchange rate regimes and real exchange rate adjustment; and (4) Opportunities and policy challenges posed by globalization, regional integration and cross-border transmission of shocks.
