This course covers some of the most important topics in Managerial Finance. Emphasis is placed on the optimal allocation of resources for both individuals and corporations. The first part of the course deals mainly with optimal decisions under certainty where resources are allocated over time. The second part of the course deals with how to measure uncertainties and how uncertainties affect the operations and finances of a firm. Factors explaining security returns are investigated as well as the concept of market efficiency. The course cumulates with a discussion on mergers and acquisitions.
