Objective - This course is aimed at giving students an overview of environmental law and its development, including the legal and administrative structures for their implementation, from the international, regional and national perspectives. It will focus on basic pollution laws relating to air, water, waste, hazardous substances and noise; nature conservation laws and laws governing environmental impact assessments. Singapore's laws and the laws of selected ASEAN countries will be examined. Targeted Students - For students on the M.Sc. (Environmental Management) program. Research students and students from other graduate programmes in NUS may apply subject to suitability of candidate and availability of places.
