This is a core module. It covers the fundamental engineering principles on kinematics and kinetics. Engineering applications based on the above will be applied to solving engineering mechanism problems including the theoretical development and practical application of mechanism, machinery and vibration. The salient features of the principles to be applied for each instance will be clearly explained and the interpretation of the results obtained will be highlighted. Students are expected to be able to handle most industrial engineering problems and to improve on the design of machinery based on the knowledge gained from this course.
