This course is an advanced course in Abnormal Psychology. It builds on the fundamental concepts introduced in PL3236, by focusing on some specific areas, e.g., mood, psychotic and anxiety disorders. The role of stress and emotion in psychopathology, and the treatment of these disorders, with drug therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy will be considered. The student will be introduced to recent advancement in research and practice in these and other cognate domains. The focus of the seminars will be discussion of current basic and clinical research papers.
