Int'L Law & Institutions

This module examines the evolution of international laws and institutions with a focus on the significance of "rule of law" in the global context. It covers the classic tradition of international law based on the principle of statehood and the protection of state sovereignty by international institutions implementing such law. The module also analyses the major global powers behind the creation and transformation of international law and institutions, and the impacts of such laws and institutions on nation-states. The module is offered to honours and postgraduate students in Political Science.
