Quantitative Methods in Real Estate

This module introduces some of the common quantitative tools that are applicable to real estate investment, development and policy analyses. Real estate cases and applications will be included to reinforce the learning of the subject. Field trips, practical assignments and hand-on exercises using computer software/programmes will also be arranged. Main models, techniques and methods include optimisation and linear programming, inventory and replacement models, critical path method and PERT for project planning and scheduling, risk analysis and simulation, decision analysis and decision tree, analytical hierarchical process.
